FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
🧶 About the Product & Process
-
Q: Why is the processing time longer than typical online shops?
-
A: Every piece is 100% handmade by me, after you place your order. The time is necessary to ensure every stitch is perfect and meets our quality standard. Please refer to the current "Shipping & Processing" page for the most up-to-date estimated creation time (usually [e.g., 2-4 weeks]).
-
-
Q: Can I customize the colors or size?
-
A: We love custom orders! Please send a detailed message to mamasmadeit@gmail.com before purchasing to discuss color changes, slight size adjustments, or entirely new designs. Customization may incur an extra fee and processing time.
-
-
Q: Since they are handmade, will my item look exactly like the photo?
-
A: Because each item is individually crocheted by hand, there may be very minor, beautiful variations in stitch tension or motif placement. This ensures your piece is truly unique and perfectly imperfect!
-
📏 Sizing and Fit
-
Q: How do I choose the correct size?
-
A: Please refer to the Size Chart linked on each product page. Our sizes are generally true to typical retail sizing, but we highly recommend measuring your [bust/waist/hips] and comparing them to our chart to find your best fit.
-
-
Q: What if I am between sizes?
-
A: For our fitted items (like the skirts and shorts), we recommend sizing up if you are between measurements. For our looser items (like the boleros and jackets), sizing down may give you a more tailored look.
-
🧺 Care and Maintenance
-
Q: How do I wash my crocheted apparel?
-
A: To ensure your item lasts for years, hand washing is strongly recommended. Use cool water and a mild detergent. Gently squeeze out excess water—do not wring!
-
-
Q: Can I put it in the dryer?
-
A: No, never put your crocheted items in a machine dryer. Heat and agitation can cause the yarn to shrink, warp, or lose its shape. Always lay flat to dry on a clean, dry surface, reshaping the garment gently while damp.
-
📦 Shipping and Returns
-
Q: What is your return policy?
-
A: Due to the custom, handmade nature of our items, we generally do not accept returns or exchangesunless the item arrived damaged or defective. Please review our full policy [link to your Policy Page] before purchasing.
-
-
Q: How do you package the items for shipping?
-
A: Your item is first sealed in a protective plastic sleeve to prevent moisture damage. It is then wrapped in branded tissue paper and shipped in a lightweight, durable poly mailer or small box to ensure the lowest shipping cost while protecting the item.
